Environmental politics

Along with such important tasks as the development of production and making profits, one of the most important vectors for the development of Samara Stroyfarfor is corporate social responsibility. This means that the factory fulfills the company's mission, not only by complying with the law, but also voluntarily takes responsibility for the influence of its activities and assumes additional obligations act for the benefit of society.  This is achieved through ensuring the social development of the staff, taking additional measures to improve the quality of life of workers and their families, improving the environmental conditions associated with the factory's activities, as well as actively participating in the development of society in the neighborhood of the factory.

Environmental strategy of the factory is one the key growth directions of the factory. It is aimed to mitigate environmental impact, to rationalize approaches for resources consumption.

Sewage treatment facilities

Starting from 2006, the factory implements a complex program of environmental protection measures, for which over 160mln rubles were allocated and used. As result, sewage treatment facilities were installed at the factory territory allowing purification of all factory water (drainage, sewage, rainwater). After treatment, water complies with all required parameters.

Future priority is implementation of closed production cycle where all water used does not drained anywhere but instead purified and included into the process again. Currently, two individual factory workshops operate under this principle: polishing workshop, decorative products workshop.

Modern furnaces and dust and gas catching equipment with at least 99% purification rate.

A production control program was developed, according to which laboratories perform studies of produced and dumped water, study contaminants exhaust into atmosphere at static exhaust sources at border of sanitary protection zone and at temporary production waste storages.

Recycling

Each type of production waste has its own data sheet and place of storage. Scrap paper, scrap metal, waste oil and polyethylene wastes are handed to recycling and secondary use to special organizations. Ceramic mass wastes, old plaster molds, ceramic scrap are recycled and re-used as well.

Labor Ecology

One of aspects of Samara Stroyfarfor policy is labor ecology. Caring of health of people engaged into production is not only basis of high labor performance and welfare improvement, but also a basis for stable social and economic development of the region. Each employee is provided with individual protection and work clothes on factory's expense. Based on monitoring, harmful production factors are detected, and mitigation measures are planned and implemented. To alternate rest and work hours according to the law, showers and recreation rooms are provided in production workshops for rest and meals. Company employees engaged in works with harmful labor conditions undergo medical examinations on employer's expense and with stipulated regularity, making to possible to detect changes in the physical condition, to assign preventative procedures, prevent diseases and maintain health.

In 2018, products and production process of Samara Stroyfarfor were successfully certified with EcoMaterial 2.0 standard.
